Born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1946, Sandy graduated with a B.S. in art education degree from Southeast Missouri University, 1970. She got her masters of Art in Teaching at Webster University, 1991. Sandy taught high school art education for 25 years. From 1983-2008 she worked in the Mehlville School District. Mainly working as an oil painter since retirement in 2008, Sandy does a variety of work in portraiture, still life, landscape, and abstraction with an emphasis on plein air. Sandy has also working in acrylic, collage and mixed media, primarily for larger abstract works. In 2019, Sandy was also taught art workshops for the Heartland Art Club.
