Kansas Grassroots Art Proud of her Topeka and Kansas heritage, Myra’s artistic expressions intertwine faith with natural, every day scenery and still-life. As a self-taught acrylic artist, she enjoys “playing” with new ideas and adding texture. She has been a member of the Topeka Art Guild for many years, serving on the Board, preparing the newsletter, and President in 2000. Her paintings won awards in the TAG Paint Kansas Shows in 2011 and 2012. For three years she regularly had art on display at the former YELDARB gallery in NOTO, and she was the Featured Artist there in May, 2015. She currently has three pieces on display at Leaping Llamas Artisan Shop. Her painting of St. Mother Teresa was donated and is used by the Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church of Topeka for their bulletins and prayer cards.
