Born into a family of composers, pianists and artists, Diane Stolz entered the "family business" by studying music and art, attending Art Students League where she studied oil painting with George Gach. And after marrying and moving to Kansas City, MO, she completed a BA in Art at the University of Missouri and established herself as an award-winning watercolorist.
Vastly diverse in style, subject and medium, Diane excels at landscapes, still life studies, musical and ballet themes, and has had several of her ballet images marketed through Capezio Ballet Company.
Of special enjoyment to Diane are her Wegmanesque photographic portraits of her
beloved Cockapoo, Gladys, a selection of which can be seen upon request.
Diane has garnered numerous First Place, Best of Show, and People's Choice awards in exhibitions throughout the country, and she maintains affiliations with various art associations
including the Salmagundi Club, American Artists Professional League, Connecticut Pastel Society, and is a Signature Member of the Kansas Watercolor Society.
